Is this the best all around rifle for combat?

okay so i would have to say my favorite weapon is the HK G3 because it can be used to snipe and as an assault rifle. It has great accuracy and excellent stopping power. The bullets are huge i think .308? and im guessing its drawbacks are kick and size. I know its basically the same as the FN FAL but what other weapons stack up against it? is it the best all-around rifle?
