Xxl real red live colour?

Hi. I dyed my hair with xxl live real red , it came out red but not as bright as I wanted. I got twow boxes incase I needed to go over at all. If I went over it again would it go any brighter or would it be a waste of time & money? I know it will damage my hair, don't tell me that! Thanks guys.
